At last, the monster (St Anger's days) left behind. Metallica turned a new page? Well I think the did. For me the albun stands between ''Puppets'' and ''Justice''. Please don't rush. Listen the album carefully, day-by-day you'll discover it better.I have it over a month, at the first 2 weeks of hearing I gave it 2-3 stars.For me TODAY is four stars, one star for every horsemam.

I have been waiting for a decent Metallica album for years. Load, Reload and St Anger were not very good at all (Understatement.) The drums on St Anger in particular gave me a headache and I gave the album away. Death Magnetic has been very hyped and I was wary at first. I pre-ordered it from Play.com and put it in my car hoping that it would be good. I was amazed and loved it from the first play. The production is brilliant and you can hear each band members contribution. The drums are fantastic, the guitars are crunching and it is nice to hear a solo or two from Kirk. All in all a return to top form and I now have returned to Justice For All, Master of Puppets and The Black Album etc. I am spreading the Metallica word amongst my colleagues and work mates.
