I'm a huge Verve fan, but with most tracks this abum just doesn't excite ! There are a few outstanding tracks, but little continuity, and at times far too moody.
Didn't appreciate the Digipak either. Does anybody really like those things ?
Excellent comeback

This album represents a big two fingers up to the naive fans who believe Urban Hymns to be The Verve's solitary album. Any person believing this album would be Urban Hymns Part II is in for a shock.
10 years down the line brings maturity, different influences and a change of soul. This is an album comparable to no other by The Verve; instead a leaf is taken from the previous 3 albums.
This is an album heavy instrumental wise, several bass-dominated tracks, sonic guitars, slick and smooth drumming with a mixture of vocals.
Standouts include - Columbo, Rather Be, Judas
Excellent

If you're a big Verve fan then am sure you'll like it, as has been mentioned in a previous review it sounds different from there other albums.
Highlights on the album for me are "Love Is Noise", "Rather Be", "Valium Skies" & "Sit & Wonder".
