This cd has many long tracks which are awesome. However, this is not as good as Inhuman Rampage...in my opinion anyway that is their best album. However this album will keep you rockin and Dragonforce know how to give the electric energy.
Their best yet

Make no mistake, this is one of the best metal albums ever made. Wouldn't surprise if the BBC picked up on A Flame For Freedom for some sporting event or other. There is not a bad track on this album and it has caught this band and at the top of their game. You can not ignore this group and their continental success proves, that far from what those who put them down would have you believe, this is their most musical, melodic and accessible offering yet. Absolutely awseome 10/10

Sorry for the cheesy review title, but what could one do!
I'm not a Dragonforce fan, lets get this clear before I start raving about the album.
Ok, this album is the same as their other albums, geek-power-speed-metal that creates wierd atmospherics and was made popular by the video-game "Guitar Hero".
But, why keep the same formula for this album? Quite simple really - it works.
Dragonforce are somewhat of a wierd sucess story, perhaps comparible to Cradle of Filth (bare with me) in the way that they became popular becasue their brand of metal was original(ish) and quite good to laugh about later (see, got their in the end!).
So, Dragonforce are a brand of pop-metal really.
I don't know what else to say...it's a good album, but it's hard to say "you will love this" or "you will hate it"...it's an album that's hard to define!
For fans of : Video Game Soundtracks, Firewind, Kill Hannah, Coheed and Cambria
Best Track : Ultra Beatdown
More of the same.

If you like Dragonforce then you'll enjoy the album, which sounds no different to the last. Of course, if you don't like Dragonforce this album won't convince you otherwise. It's a fun listen but gets old fast.
Nothing new here.

If your a fan of DragonForce's tried and tested forumla for epic, fast metal then you'll love this. They don't break into any new ground but stick to what they're good at. If you expected something different, well then you shouldn't be listening to DragonForce.
Must buy for 'Force fans!

Top 10 Music Reviewer
This album highlights a few changes in terms of speed riffing and of course the soaring vocals of ZP Theart as tracks like Heroes of our time" shows it not all about trying to get to the finish line first as their is a slight drop in speed to let the listener feel he has plenty of time to absorb the riffs of Herman Li and the lyrics sung by Theart without being under the illusion he is either on a collision course with the sun or is trying to beat an opponent in computer game against the time as the album has plenty of gems in the lengthy songs like reasons to live, heartbreak armageddon, and the last journey home which shows the band have broaderned their horizons a little which surprisingly have slower passages whilst and a flame for freedom is a power ballad which shows this force are far from being one dimensional. no doubt this would give the fans what they want and expect but it also points dragonforce the way forward.
AMAZING!

Heard one song, heard em all. This albums going to be more of the same, crap geek metal with emphasis on speed, pomposity and the same song structure over and over again.
